Rural France has very few options in most of its villages restaurants are open a limited number of hours and are frequently closed all day. Such was the case when we went to this little town they were only open ten more minutes when we rushed in, famished after having looked in vain for food in a nearby village. The hostess was lovely and although thé food was average the welcome was warm and food prices very low. Even the other patrons bade us bonjour and au revoir just lovely people. I would not be at all surprised to find food much better at the start of lunch or dinner.
