フィードバックを提供するI visited the Coupeville ER yesterday and had only a 4 minute wait. RNs Steve Dulce are exceptionally good ER nurses, CT Tech Neil is efficient caring, Lab/Blood Draw Tony is very good, and ER Dr. Oliver orchestrated this care team with skillful, focused aplomb in less than 2 hours. I've read (and heard) mixed reviews about this facility, am pleased that I had a very good experience yesterday, and recommend the ER.
I had to be taken to the ED by paramedics. I had heard terrible things about this hospitaland had had a bad experience myself several years ago. I was having some kind of mental confusion and was terrifies. Evryone one there starting with the paramedics Liz and Bryce was wonderful! I wish I could remember all the names of everyone I dealt with because they were all awesome! The nurses were phenomenal going above and beyond to make me feel safe and keep me comfortable..I gad 10 heated blankets!?. Dr. Waring was kind, caring and comforting. I was admitted that night and even the room was comfortable and spacious with a pull out couch for my poor exhausted son to sleep on. Every single nurse on EVERY shift was amazing! Dr. Kubisty was kind and informative. I ended up staying there for 2 days. Even the food was good..for hospital food? The sweet lady that came and took my orders and brought me food was so kind. Housekeeping, pharmacy, respiratory therapy and phlebotomists were the best!! If you've heard bad things about this hospital..ignore them they were wonderful. Thank you to everyone there that took such good care of me! The ONLY complaint I have is the person that answered the phone when I called the next day because I didn't have the prescriptions I was supposed to have left with was extremely rude she insisted I had them and said she didn't have time to go through the paperwork I had with me, they were there I just needed to sit down and go through it she had other patients to attend to..she could use some customer service training..that is all.
I bring my kids here because I live in oak harbor it’s closer to where I live every time I come here with my kids the staff is rude or has very just rude attitudes as if doing there jobs is a bother some . They treat me as if I have been in there to many times when iam just a concerned mom at this point I’d rather go off island to get at least someone who isn’t rude . To provide care to me and my kids there should not be rude staff or doctors in a hospital environment dealing with sick or injured people some of there front desk is rude as well .
Was told at the walk-in clinic to go to the ER . After 4 hours I was still waiting watching my blood pressure go higher and higher when it hit 210/107 the alarm went off after listening to the alarm for 6 minutes and no one responded I took off the monitors and left no one even noticed. I felt if I stayed much longer their care would cause me serious harm.
Sharing my review as two parts. One for the emergency room, lab, and ultrasound rooms. And one for the Labor Delivery unit. From what I hear, this hospital has had some corruption agmost board members and has rebranded from Whidbey general hospital to WhidbeyHealth. The check in counter here is always a mess. My wife was in labor and it took us 20 minutes to get past the front desk. Every appointment we had here was like this. The ER waiting area is very small and right next to the front door of the hospital. The ER nurses are okay and the doctors are good. Overall a decent ER. The ultrasound and laboratory areas are small and dated. But they do the job.The labor and delivery unit here is AMAZING! My wife gave birth here to our son and it was such a special experience. Our nurses and doctors made the process relaxing and exciting. My wife absolutely loved her nurse L D nurse Megan, and her doctors as well. The unit is updated and very very nice. I wish I could give the L D unit 10 stars. The rest of the hospital is meh, which Is why I'm giving it overall 3 stars.
