Restaurant service was not good. Shorted on portion and waitress definitely needs more training. On a bright note the food was good tasting. We have eaten at this establishment several times and always left happy, not so much this time. Didn't say a word at the restaurant, just decided to chalk it up as a learning experience. Won't be back for a while and hopefully things are better. Update. My wife and I recently decided to give one of our favorite restaurants another try and we are happy that we did. Service was good and portions were large. The food was tasty and of good quality. The prices seem to have gone up but in these times I guess that's to be expected. We will be back again.
Who wouldn't want to visit downtown Cottonwood Falls Kansas and eat at the Grand Central Hotel! Reservations are welcome. Love the lunch menu, but visit in the evening for a great Kansas steak.
Started off with the French Onion Soup and Steak Stew. Both were very good, but the Steak Stew was a little better. The broth was thick and hearty, and the vegetables had a nice crunch. The main course, the Ribeye Steak, was one of the best I have had in a while. It was very flavorful with just a hint of char from the grill. Served with the fresh mashed potatoes and gravy, it was wonderful. I would love to go back again, the next time we are in the area.
We went here for a private event wedding party. I didn't actually visit any of the rooms. But it's a really cool place. I'd probably go there again if I ever needed a little hole in the wall place.
