Eightfold Tea Shoppe - Costa Mesa

I got the Eightfold Signature with boba and it was only okay. It tasted rather grainy. It was fast, but I’m not sure I’d go there again.

Wanted some boba after dinner and this spot had some pretty good reviews. I got the deep matcha and this drink was underwhelming. The matcha flavor is there and the pudding was really good but the boba was really hard. It tasted like day old boba and completely ruined the drink for me. I didn't taste it till I got home so I couldn't ask them to remake it but the boba was not great. The rest of the drink was good so I want to believe that the boba just wasn't that good because it was close to closing time.

Ordered Mango Slush and Wintermelon Tea. Both drinks are good. Will definitely return in the future!

I was really surprised with this boba shop! It's super cozy and cute for small groups because they offer some board games. Poor guy behind the counter was working by himself and was making 15+ drinks at a time. He was really kind and made the drinks as fast as possible. I was able to sample their Eightfold Signature (earl grey milk tea), and upon tasting it, I immediately ordered the drink. They add JUST ENOUGH sugar so that it doesn't overpower the drink's natural tea flavor. I usually like sweeter milk teas, but it was perfect. My friend got the double green (honeydew matcha), and she absolutely loved it! Personally, I didn't like it because I don't enjoy honeydew, but I can say it tasted just like honeydew without being too sweet. Wish they did stamp cards because I'll definitely come back again!

Eightfold used to be better maybe a year ago before the new management ? so I've stopped coming but I give it a try every 6 months or so lol but each time I'm not impressed. The sweetness of the marbled strawberry was not enough so I asked for an adjustment and it still wasn't that sweet. The drinks overall are not bad but also not great.
