On a Friday night at 6:15 my party of 6 met here and there was zero people in the restaurant and no one at the counter. We had to talk loudly to get attention from the back. The server was nice enough, arranged a table and gave us our menus and water fairly quickly. The food took a while and was incomplete and some was cold. One of our friends food did not come and she had to track down the waiter and ask for her plate. My other friend asked for a braised shrimp plate and that the shrimp shells be removed. The plate arrived with overcooked shrimp with the shells on. I saw him fighting to take the shells off of every shrimp. My wife had a seafood soup which had 6 little shrimp and all noodles with nothing else (not much of a seafood soup . I had the cashew chicken which was cold and the sauce was very thick and way too sweet for cashew chicken. After the food was served the waiter disappeared twice and we had to track him down in the back twice for water and the check. This is with the place nearly empty. We eat Chinese food fairly often and we have been to quite a few Chinese restaurants.....this one definitely is on the do not return list.
Probably the best chinese food in the area. Picked up an order of mapo tofu and some vegetable egg rolls. Tofu was delicious. Egg rolls were nice and crispy. Check this spot out if you are craving some chinese food.
Decided we wanted Chinese food for dinner tonight, but our favorite local take out in Santa Ana happened to be closed on Sundays, so I Yelped and found this new little place so close to home. Was pretty excited to try them out. Ordered the Orange chicken, salt pepper fish, beef chow fun, hot sour soup, scallion pancakes, and honey walnut shrimp. The amount of food given was very generous and pricing not bad. But that being said, their food was just ok. The orange chicken was mushy and didn 't have that nice crisp/crunch (kinda gelatinous is how I would describe it. The large hot sour soup was only sour (not spicy at all and was mostly a brown broth with about 6 7 tiny cubes of dark tofu and maybe a spoonful of bamboo shoots and earwood mushrooms. Luckily I always have tofu in my fridge and was able to add more to the soup (you can see it in my pics, lol . Pancake scallions barely had any scallions, but my daughter said she could taste the flavor of scallions so I guess that 's ok haha. Honey walnut shrimp was ok with decent sized shrimp, and beef chow fun was basic nothing to write home about. The winner tonight was the salt pepper fish which was not even on the menu, but I asked if they could make it, and they were kind enough to oblige. We popped those fish pieces in the air fryer when we got home, and they turned out crispy and salty! Not bad at all! All in all, I would give this place 3.5 stars with the hopes that perhaps their other dishes on the menu are much, much better than the ones I ordered here tonight.
Holy, Chinese food is supposed to be fast and this was anything but. This was expensive, slow, and completely unremarkable. The broccoli beef had way too much sauce, cumin lamb was okay, veggie shrimp was bland, shrimp was old. Food was quoted to take 20 minutes, then 10 more, then 10 more, then 10 more. It took 50 minutes for food to come out, shouldn't they know the Friday rush is going to come? This restaurant will forever be propped up by food delivery services that don't know better.
Ordered from here via Uber Eats today. All dishes were spicy and salty. Does this place specialize in Chengdu flavors? 1) spicy eggplant good, but salty again, definitely need rice to go with 2) fried pork intestines too salty! Each piece was fried too much. 3) cumin lamb this was good, and spicy
