Rifugio Edelweiss - CORVARA IN BADIA

Booked several days in advance, when arrived worked hard to get any attention. When finally seated, one chair was missing, had to ask several times for one. Two out of four people at the table were without fork and knives, had to ask for this two times as well. When asked if we can be seated at a bigger table, we were told is not possible, though the table reamined empty untill our departure few minutes before closing time. A pitty foe the good food to be spoiled by such a poor and unfriendly staff. Will not return anytime soon.

In a quiet basin off the Sella Ronda this was a great place to stop for lunch, and the food was excellent, so too the wine. Service was prompt and friendly. There’s good outside seating with views to the sella massif, self service and table service. We went indoors to the cosy restaurant. Ski runs in the basin weren’t crowded, and though the snow in the valleys got horrible during the afternoon the runs around the restaurant were fine and there were no lift queues.

Wonderful rifugio! Easy access from Colfosco lift. We had a lovely lunch after hiking, great food and drinks. The rufugio is situated with amazing views. We had fantastic service and very much enjoyed our experience.

Went on spec for lunch and was turned away from the restaurant but invited to take a bar type seat facing out across the spectacular valley down to Colfosco. We have booked for tomorrow but I am reviewing today anyway. Staff are hot headed but in a nice amusing way and are not averse to shouting at each other. Drinks came in short order and we ordered a seafood linguini and steak for me. I would not normally order steak at an Italian restaurant but I am so glad I did. The steak was exceptional. Best I have ever had anywhere. A must.

Hysterical staff. Some young boys had a beer too much and dropped a glass on the floor by accident. They call the police ! Boys were no more or less drunk than most other people in that place. . They were not bothering anyone not a way to treat your guests after you served them the beers.
