I've been here since my childhood. But of course different. No complaints. The food is wonderful. The Chicken Shack is at least 15 to 20 minutes drive for me. But if I have these grottos, I do the drive because I know that I will get the full satisfaction and the filling I need. The best. They cook the gizzards freshly to order. I would recommend this place to everyone.
Great food and service. Onion rings are the best in South Texas! Your choice of biscuits or corn bread, I go with the maize bread every time. But I wish it wasn't so expensive, so we could eat there more often. But I understand it's a business. To buy a snack for the street. I tried her fried pimplesticks. But I paid $5 for 4 sticks and a container of Ranch. You were good! Painted with panko and lots of dill in dough.
Great food! Great staff! Great atmosphere! My son asked if we could make this a regular stop. In an hour and forty minutes, not as normal as I want. It was a great find. I just wanted something I could eat during driving without making too big. The dough on the chicken top. It was a few of the best seasoned and crispy chickens I had for a long time. I really enjoyed my gizzards and my family rave over how good their shrimps were. I thought we had a family stumbled over the grain bread. It was soft and damp like yellow cake, but you knew you were eating maize bread.
We drove to this little place and were amazed at the quality of food. The chicken was juicy and the coating was crispy. We had homemade onion rings and macaroni and cheese. This place is known for its cakes and apple cake and chocolate butter milk not disappointed. It's on the outskirts of Corpus, but it's worth the ride.
