Sun Deck - Coronado

The view here is amazing! They are integrated between the Hotel Del Coronado and the sea Food is decent and drinks are basic. Also because it is an outdoor bar above the pool deck, the drinks are served in plastic goods that are lame. Servers were okay, but nothing like you would expect from The Del. You get 4 stars because of the view. Probably had 3 stars.

A group of about 15 of us came for cocktails before an event dinner and for the beautiful sunset! The bar menu was quite extensive, I had a sandy Shandy (say it five times fast! because I was mostly super thirsty and it only had enough lemonade to delete it. Our server was super nice and responsive as some people tricked in a few minutes. Since there were so many, we borrowed chairs and stools and seats from us, and the servers and guests were super nice about it. I just wish we had time for some food!

Located at the Hilton Hotel Coronado, this place overlooks the beach on one end and the pool on the other. Perfect for a lunch or early dinner (last able to seat at 6pm). Came at 5pm for a beautiful sunset dinner.Service was quick and staff friendly. Self seat, and they come quickly to bring you a menu and water. By far their Loaded Hoisin French Fries Appetizer was the best. Nice flavor blend with crunchy and well flavored fries and with Asian bbq chicken. We also loved their Togarashi Crusted Ahi Tuna- light but great flavor.Our main dishes were just okay- got their Pork Bibimbap (very standard), and their Double del Cheeseburger (also very standard) which for the price point wasn't exciting. Overall given their AMAZING apps, great service and views, would highly recommend this place. Maybe just try different main courses

The Sun Deck at Hotel del Coronado was a beautiful space and has an every more beautiful view of the sunset! We went here for an evening cocktail and small bites. It was great, but the seating is all open and up for grabs. We showed up with a reservation and just wandered around until we noticed folks leaving and took their table. (Only photos I took were of the scenery and not our food or drinks).It was nice to sit by the fireplace in our table. But you do leave smelling like smoke.Staffing seemed to be okay. Just seemed like after we ordered we weren’t really checked on. We waited awhile to checkout.And note: if you take one of the fireplace tables, they require a 2hr max time limit, and a $100 minimum for orders. This was easy ro meet with the order of a few cocktails and a few appetizers.We liked the bbq chicken nacho fries! It was so good! The sauces were yummy and the fresh ingredients were a nice compliment to the rich! We ordered the hummus Greek platter and it was a nice portion and the pickled veggies were good!

It was a chilly evening but the sun deck has heaters and fire pits throughout. We had the salmon wedge salad, mahi mahi fish sandwich and double burger plus drinks. Food is excellent but very pricey. However, the 4/5 stars is because they don’t/can’t offer hot drinks here, so nothing to take the chill or end the meal with.
