Wheal Dream Restaurant, Bar And Accommodation

Barry and Naomi have come back to Wheal Dream (thankfully) after a year under new ownership. We had a wonderful meal, excellent service, and it finally felt like normal service was back in place.

Always a warm welcome from Barry and Naomi, so good to see them back at the helm, and even though they’re on there opening menu it’s still outranks most other restaurants with brilliant food at good value prices. Well done guys, can’t wait to return soon.

Used to be the best carvery around, now it was terrible! All the food had a horrible Smokey burnt taste! And who doesn’t sell hot desserts in autumn? No sticky toffee pudding? Just mini desserts in a fridge? More like a money making scheme! Gonna have to find somewhere else for roast now!

Heard it had changed hands. One girl doing the best she could. Overcooked food. Not asked if we wanted dessert or drink. After about an hour we managed to see the poor girl working and ask for hot drinks. Also minor detail each table had flowers but they had been there a long time the water in the vases was discoloured and beginning to look slimy ugh! So many good places to eat around will not bother going there again.

On my own. Sunday carvery. Staff brilliant, attentive and friendly. Lovely lunch. Desserts great too. Thank you all for a great lunch
