Q At The Old Quay House

We decided to dine at this restaurant based on previous reviews. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent, but we felt that the atmosphere was lacking. The ambiance was very clinical. I started with the smoked mackerel, which was cooked perfectly, and then had the pea and lemon risotto, which was absolutely delicious. We would have liked the option to sit on the balcony overlooking the harbor, but it was not given to us. Despite this, the service and food were both outstanding. It felt as though we could have been dining at a service station in Exeter, but that should not take away from the overall experience.
