Wig Pen Pizza Pub - Coralville

Wow! Great food, but even better service. Shout on our server Stephanie! She made our first date night postpartum a great experience. Even with a room full of cartridges, she felt like the only ones in the restaurant. Can wait until the next date night when we can visit Wig and Pen again!

Homecoming Weekend in Iowa City. I understand. It's crazy and you'll wait. I went to 3 big pizzas after the game at 8:20PM. I sat in the bar for approx. 10 minutes, the 2 bartenders were busy and stressed and no one said Hi or I will be right with you (I understand I'm Old School and no Snowflake). As an old type U of I degree from 1991, I got it, and I was super patient, because there are no other pizzas like this for me... and I mentioned it was homecoming? From nothing, this great, super friendly wonder child bartender gal with a sweet hat on, pops before me-obvily do 5 other things and shows me with total authority finger and kindness and asks if someone has come to me. I tell her it's okay, I know you're busy and I can wait (I was the last place at the end of the bar in the west). She said no! I got you, what's your order, you're good! I ordered my favorite, then a colonel and a cheese for my son Sophomore.... My super server person with the hat to work the bar and everyone on their way kept my two fireball drink orders full and checked me like family. I just wanted to give her the first name to recognize her, but her ID is only 101 BAR. So I will leave it like this: Go to the wig and pen for amazing pizza in Coralville, Iowa and when you sit at the bar and you think about the service more than the amazing pizza you have consumed, you have been negated by 101 BAR . God bless the wig and the pen and the tenders that take care of. We need you both.

Stopped in on a Monday night while visiting U of Iowa. Our group ordered two small pizzas, a meatball sub and some cheese filled breadsticks. I can?t speak for the meatball sub, but the pizzas and sticks were excellent. Plenty of toppings and cheese. The Wig Pen has 3 sizes of pizza, 3 styles (thin, pan, Chicago) and numerous toppings to make your own. They also have some specialty pizzas on the menu with different mixes of toppings. Atmosphere was nice and our server was super friendly and always there with refills on drinks, etc?without even needing to ask. We will certainly come back when we visit next time. One bite, everybody knows the rules!!

The bruschetta is absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed one of the spring cocktails, and it was very good. And the Flying Tomato, 1/2 Union Jack, 1/2 North Sider was fantastic as always. Wig and Pen has the best pizza in the entire area. We had a special needs child with us, and our server took exceptional care of us making sure all our needs were met very promptly

We are from Missouri. We came here for lunch, and we were blown away by the food. Service was amazing as well, they were super nice. We had the bruschetta as an appetizer and oh my... It was delicious. With fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, and crispy bread, it was so light and yummy. Our pizza was the Chicken Alfredo Flying Tomato Style. We have never had a pizza as good as this one. We brought our leftovers all the way back to Missouri and our friends were blown away too.
