We got Party Tray B- consisted of a great many and variety of sushi rolls: meats and vegetarian, and fed us all with agenerous left over package. Very extensive menu. Very friendly staff. Vegetarian items and spicy items labeled. Seemed to be apopular location for a random Wednesday night. Am pleased with my visit here.
Wonderful decor, probably the best looking sushi restaurant I've seen! Spacious, and the sakura trees look really cool. Too bad the food isn't at the same level. The nigiri rice was not properly prepared and was surprisingly hard, ruining its pairing withthe soft fresh fish. The house roll had cheese on it which was incredibly salty, making the dish inedible unless you picked outthe cheese. Overall the food was disappointing and mediocre for the price, decor is amazing, and the service was nice andattentive.
Ordered some of the rolls for a dinner gathering on BC Day. Very disappointed with the quality of the rolls.... I could not be able to tell the yellow object in the Tamago Roll indeed was made with eggs as it was rigid and blend. For the Dynamite Roll, I could not tell the greasy and soggy stuff inside being shrimp tempura. For the Unagi Roll, the BBQ eel was just a tiny piece of something inside the roll. The California Roll was indeed the worst. I was so embarrassed in sharing these sushi rolls with my friends. It was absolutely the worst sushi rolls I have ever had in my life. Had visited Sushi Mori before and the food quality was quite good. Not sure if there was a change of ownership after the fire in 2015.
The service at this restaurant is awful. I've been there several times and each time the staff seems to completely neglect monitoring new customers entering the restaurant. Consequently, you end up waiting for an incredibly long time before receiving any service, especially when making a takeaway order or even just trying to get seated at a free table. It appears they simply don't care and prioritize their other errands over attending to customers even when the restaurant is not busy. The first time I tried their sushi, it was quite tasty, but another visits were disappointing. Last time I ordered a smoked salmon roll and it had such tiny, poor pieces of salmon, and the rice in the sushi was undercooked and hard.Overall, I don’t recommend this restaurant.
Haven 't been here in a few years and... It seems that I have been missing out.Saturday night, the restaurant was full (made sense), I only waited a few minutes before being seated.Great atmosphere, and I really liked the design. The only thing I didn 't like was the flies, which is funny because I saw them zap a few flies with the electric paddle.Everything that I ordered tasted delicious! From the light battered and deep fried tempuras to the fresh sashimi. Lovely flavors from the salmon. Chicken Yakiudon was good but not great. (Needed more sauce) The best in terms of flavor for me was actually the salad with the red beet, avocado, and slightly seared tuna!! Great attentive service! I was checked up numerous times throughout my dining experience.Nice spot for a date night or a meal with family and friends!
