Smoking Pig - Coquitlam

While SP may not have an impressive waterfront view or chandeliers, it had a cozy atmosphere. We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon and discovered that ramen was the specialty here. The homemade noodles and broth were top-notch. We tried the basic ramen with smoked pork, boiled egg, greens, and green onions, which was rich and flavorful. The Perilla Ramen, featuring ground perilla seeds for a nutty earthy flavor, was a unique and delicious twist. The fried dumplings were tasty, although we wished they had more vegetables inside. The smoked pork side dish with kimchi was amazing but very rich. The restaurant also had a kimchi bar where you could choose your pickles. The decor was comfortable, with an Everlast heavy bag for staff to take out their frustrations. Overall, a satisfying dining experience at SP.

Fantastic food and service. We are newbies to Korean food and our server was incredibly helpful. Had the smoked pork, the pork/onion soup dumplings and all was great. Service was really fast! Will be going back and hopefully soon.

The restaurant offers excellent service, delicious food, and affordable prices. While the exterior may appear questionable, the interior is inviting and cozy, with attentive service.

We came here for a date night after friends recommended it and were not disappointed! You might not notice it in the evening because it 's a little dark on the outside, we drove right past it initially.<br/ <br/ Once you 're inside the decor is cool with a lot of comic book style art and decorations, as well as a customized arcade game for the restaurant I guess they used to have another restaurant called 'Ramengers ', so the Avengers theme makes sense!<br/ We had the Spicy Ramen and some Gyoza. The ramen was excellent, with a rich and complex broth and one of the better eggs I 've had. The noodles had the perfect texture and meat must have been BBQed in house instead of multiple smaller slices they give you a thicker piece that is falling apart tender.High quality and just the right amount of food.

Ramengers to smoking pig. What can I say, their ramen is probably the best I've had in most of metro Vancouver. It was a shame.they left Kingsway and boundary. I drive out to Coquitlam just to have their ramen. Same two owners from ramengers, super friendly and accommodating. Their unique style in Chasu and ramen make their noodle dish one to drive out for. That's just the ramen. Have you tried the fried chicken? I feel it rivals that of many fried chicken specialty restos at half the price. This review doesn't do the food and service justice. Come down and try for yourself!
