The must-try item here is definitely the Bistec (beef tacos). The meat is incredibly flavorful—I've never had taco meat that tastes this good! My only complaint is about the amount of salsa and limes they provide. I adore salsa and could use a lot more. I like to have both the verde and a little bit of roja salsa on every taco, but when I ask for extra, the staff can be a bit curt. They could also be more generous with the limes. A few years back, I even inquired about buying their salsa, but they never allowed me to do so.
Among the many taco joints in Dallas, this one is at the very top of my list. It’s usually our first stop when we have visitors—people insist on going here. The food is fantastic as well. Recently, I went on a day-long taco tour of Dallas with my extended family, and while this place might not be ranked number one, it’s definitely worth a stop every time you’re nearby.
I never expected to find a taco restaurant located inside a gas station. Since moving to Texas about a year ago, I've realized that this is quite common here—definitely not something you'd find in Ohio. When we arrived, they were busy scrambling to prepare our order, but every single bite was absolutely delicious. We tried three different types of tacos, but I'm still not quite sure what they were. They were full of flavor, though one of them had a bit too much of a creamy component for my taste. While it might not be the most authentic experience, it would be really helpful if the menu provided descriptions of the dishes I ordered, as I had no idea what I was getting.
Best authentic Mexican around very cheap.
