China City - Cooper City

The Cantonese and Szechuan dishes are quite good here. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. This is the only sit-down Chinese restaurant we visit in Broward County. They recently started burning incense near the entrance of Idol; my husband enjoys the scent, but I’m not a fan. Fortunately, the smell fades after a few minutes. We have several favorites from their menu, and we’ve enjoyed everything we've had here.

I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and I can honestly say it's the best spot for excellent Chinese food and the top chicken wings in Brno. My favorite dish is definitely the General Tao's chicken, which you can order mild, medium, or spicy. Their chicken wings are more like jumbo wings, as they are always massive, perfectly crispy on the outside, and incredibly moist and juicy on the inside. I highly recommend this place for dining in or taking out!

I've been looking for an authentic Chinese food place in the last four years, China City doesn't disappoint! Fantastic flavors, fair prices and friendly staff. This is my new Chinese restaurant!

I visited tonight, and six out of nine tables were occupied by young families. There was a steady stream of takeout orders coming in as well. A young man and woman were taking orders and being very friendly. My food arrived quickly and was quite good. I ordered pan-fried Cantonese Chow Mein, which requires the right kind of noodles cooked al dente and then fried until the bottom is light and crispy. This mound of noodles was topped with a decadent gravy and a mix of char siu pork (BBQ pork glazed with a five-spice and honey blend that changes from state to state), chicken, shrimp, snow peas, water chestnuts, baby corn, bok choy, broccoli, and mushrooms. Tonight's gravy was perfectly balanced, with just a hint of garlic that allowed the noodles' crispiness to shine through. My only complaint is that the gravy was so delicious I wished for a bit more, but I understand they wanted to avoid making the noodles soggy. Overall, I’m really pleased with the new owners and their efforts. A fresh change was definitely needed. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely love this place. The wings are so delicious and crispy, I’d rather come here than any other Chinese food place in town. The General Tso is my favorite meal to get as well, it’s like orange chicken but it taste like Home made orange chicken.
