The Turn Around - Cookeville

I ordered the avocado toast and I said make it vegan, the woman said, so you want mayonnaise or not. What I got was two slices of doughy wheat weber type bread with avocado, tomato and lettuce in the form of a sandwich. Not even toasted, no pepper or everything bagel.

This place is a drive thru but is not fast food... which is a good thing. They make everything fresh as you order it. Very tasty. I 'll be back for sure.

What a surprise to find some vegan options while passing through Cookeville, Tennessee! Nut taco has lots of walnuts with seasonings (a bit spicy) and delicious mango salsa.

Being vegan in Cookeville is not one of the easiest lifestyles to choose from when it comes to eating out. The TURN Around, though, completely blows the rest of the restaurants in town out of the water with their delicious veg options. The veggie burger is my fav, loaded with practically all the toppings (hummus, sprouts, olives, jalapeños, onions, tomato,etc. , along with an apple/ginger/lemon juice. The menu also features vegan tacos and wraps and different homemade soups each day that are often made vegan. : If you are in or near Cookeville, I highly recommend a visit!
