Zambrero - Coogee

This restaurant is essentially a healthy Mexican takeaway spot with a few tables outside. They offer a variety of options including burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and bowls. I tried the IQ bowl and chose the black rice (which they also sell in take-home packs) instead of the white rice. I opted for the pork, which they mentioned has a bit of a kick to it. It was absolutely delicious! You can also choose from beef, lamb, or chicken. For my salad toppings, I went with corn and onion, but they also have beans and tomatoes available. I added cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños, and finished it off with a BBQ sauce. The bowl was really tasty and a good size, but I was still hungry, so I ended up ordering a second one! I also love that they have a "meal for a meal" initiative, where they donate food to those in need for every plate purchased.

I had a great experience with my chicken burrito at the Coogee location of this Mexican fast-food chain. Their salsa is incredibly fresh, striking the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. The crema they use is also distinct from what you'll find at other chains. The staff member at the counter was courteous and a pleasure to interact with. Keep up the good work, everyone!

These guys always do me an amazing IQ burrito, with cauliflower tasty filling, it’s a must! Add vegan bbq sauce and extra lettuce!
