Whistle Post Tavern - Conyers

Delicious fish sandwich and pommes. Very clean. Great waiting staff. Hats to cook in the kitchen. The food is served hot and very fresh. The bar's finished. Always a pleasure to eat and a moment in WPT??

Visited on Thursday 7/14/2022 evening. The Fish sandwich with jalapeno tarter sauce is the BOMB) and sweet potato fries were AWESOME..... Great service too... our waitress Christina was very friendly and very attentive to our needs. Karaoke was going on and it was very fun watching and listening to all that were participating... I'll definitely be a returning customer!

Cool place. Pretty good food. My reason for the 3 stars is the ridiculous draft beer prices, and drinks. $24 for domestic pitcher?? We had 3 mixed well vodka drinks and 2 appetizers. Fried pickles and jalapeños. The tab was $55. The server had no idea of any of the pricing for tap beers. She was nice though and the service was good.

We were trying to grab some breakfast and found that our local franchises and chains had absurd wait times 30+ minutes. We don't like to wait for food so we chose to explore and we found this establishment. We have gone back a couple of times and find the service and atmosphere to be great. The prices are a little high, but the food has been consistently good. We enjoy the pancakes and eggs. We have taken notice to their weekly events. Hopefully one day we get to visit during those times.

Way too expensive for the food you get. My daughter ordered 5 wings for $10.99 and fries were not included. I thought well maybe these are jumbo wings. Nope...regular sized wings and they tasted burnt. If you want 10 wings that will cost you a whopping $20.99, without fries. Completely absurd!!! Also the waitress took our cups away from the table to refill our drinks. This should NEVER be a thing!!! Especially given the current covid issues and waitresses aren't wearing masks. She also took it upon herself to put straws in our drinks. I prefer to touch my own straw, thank you. Waitress brought ticket and stood there waiting for me to put down payment. Felt very rushed and awkward. Response to Whistle Post: While I understand current situations have increased prices on a lot of goods, I find it extremely hard to believe it is necessary to charge $10.99 for 5 chicken wings with no side. If that were the case and chicken is that expensive, wing places across the Country would be going out of business, because no one could afford to eat them. We order wings too much from other restaurants for this to be an acceptable price for 5 wings.
