フィードバックを提供するI had lunch in the castle hotel. there were three vegan nets and three sides. I had the cute empura bagel, which was in the did tempoura vegetables on a bagel with red bevel jam and basilikum pesto. I was not quite sure what to expect, but it was surprisingly delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. the hotel itself is also a beautiful environment.
We chose the Castle Hotel because of its specific vegan menu, which lists around five nibbles/starters, four main courses and three desserts (one of which was sorbet, another was fruit salad). I felt the price was high for the actual cost of the ingredients. I ordered charred cauliflower salad, the menu said it came with curried lentils and coconut raita. There were no lentils and no raita, just desiccated coconut and an oily dressing which needed something sharp like lime or lemon juice. I don’t usually put salt on my food but I needed to in this case because otherwise it was quite bland. £14 was a lot to pay for this. Obviously I cannot offer any verdict on the other dishes on the menu.
Care has been taken to please vegans with delicious choices in this omni restaurant.
We tried the vegan burgers, which were quite pricey at £16 each, and found them to be just average in taste. They came with fries and onion rings, which were enjoyable. However, the baked mushrooms as an appetizer were the standout feature of the evening. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to return unless I had extra money to spend.
We visited on a very busy Saturday night and sat in the bar area. After receiving the menu and making our selections, we were informed that the menu had changed and we had to place our orders again. We were offered complimentary drinks as a gesture. The service was excellent, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food did not match the descriptions on the menu, which was quite disappointing. I wish I could upload photos to illustrate our experience.
