The Henry - Como

Have eaten here many times being a local, and have always experienced excellent food and service, but last night 16th August we came away feeling very disapointed.The food was beautiful, and so many choices. All meals were served together and there were no complaints, however when we had finished eating, our plates were left on the table in front of us for at least an hour.One of our group of 8 people ordered an Affogato coffee, which they do very well, however after waiting 20 minutes we had to remind the staff. We waited another 20 minutes and were at the point of reminding them yet again when it appeared. When we commented politely about the wait, the waitress simply shrugged her shoulders and walk off....never experienced such a reaction before at the Mt. Henry. Normally staff are very polite and accommodating.Bit of a disapointment for us, so will probably give it a miss now for a few months and try them again.

This place sure has gone through some reincarnations in the time I've been going to it We like to go to the Henry for weekend pub lunches. We don't usually eat in the bistro but from the bar menu outside. Awesome fast, cheap chicken burgers, steak sangas and general pub food. Its fine for kids and usually has the footy or cricket on the outdoor TV. It's not really a go-er when it's wet as unfortunately the outdoor area really isn't set up for inclement weather as we discovered on our last visit. There are some drop down blinds but not adequate heating and the tables and chairs get very wet. We ate in the bistro on our last visit (where they have a seperate, much more extensive and expensive menu) and we were all happy with the food, although we would have preferred to be in the other area. For us we wouldn't go there to eat at the bistro.

Great place with a cosy atmosphere more like a family lounge than a hotel and the food here was your normal pub grub and quite delicious with a varied menu. There are a lot of different beers on offer to choose from and the entertainment was great. Would recommend.

Food is good with a hood selection of beer and wine. Every day they have a special which is really value for money Sports bar is also available.

Beer is cold and lines are clean . The service is good and meals are full size.Only complaint is they need a smoking area further away from the door - the smoke comes in as soon as the door is opened.Really quite a good local pub and we will be back
