Fontana D'oro - COMO

We had lunch at this restaurant on our last day by the lake and were very, very impressed. Service was exceptional; the grilled prawns amazing and beautifully cooked. We also had a wonderful sea food risotto and penne ' Russo both cooked 'just right '. We sat upstairs enjoying the beautiful view. Every part of the restaurant immaculate. We will certainly eat here again!

Returning here after many years such a lovely experience again, having just taken the Brunate Funicular we stopped for an early dinner before heading to the station. The lady serving our table was charming, friendly, and so helpful with the menu. My wife has a gluten intolerance and helped with GF bread to accompany her spaghetti bolognaise with a meat sauce all GF. I selected the pasta with swordfish olives and peppers. We agreed both absolutely delicious. Great house white wine and a nice glass of Merlot. We were offered and accepted a complimentary limoncello as we left. Our corner table outside gave us a beautiful view of the lake before we headed to Como San Giovani station. Memorable times, we’d easily return some day.

Outstanding spot for lunch or dinner in Cernobbio with an outstanding view of the lake! Great service, delicious food, and a great people watching.

Excellent location, with lake view. with possibility of outdoor area when it is warmer. excellent dishes, with excellent flavors and well presented. excellent service, helpful, friendly but professional. Hard to find something negative. slightly more expensive than expected but I would say that having been all perfect was a deserved amount.

We took two spaghetti to the cliff and two cut with rocket, grana and tomatoes. all really good and very fresh, especially pasta. very nice location and very friendly staff. highly recommended.
