I thoroughly enjoyed learning from them in the Beginners Masterclass as well as the Social Dancing Masterclass. They take the time to explain and break down each move and are always happy to help answer any questions. Highly recommend and I'm looking forward to taking more classes with them in the near future!
Entering the restaurant was like stepping back in time, the interior is from another era. I hope they keep it that way. The service was great and friendly. Unfortunately, the food was not all that great. Steaks cooked to a medium instead of medium rare. I am not sure why they serve a small plate of spaghetti with a sauce. The spaghetti is way overcooked and the sauce is too sweet.
This is an awesome place to learn and dance bachata. The instructors teach a ton of different topics (including musicality which was super unique), do a great job fostering a friendly environment, and are also just super funny. I've already signed up for the next class
This is by far the best place to learn bachata in LA. Demetrio and Nicole are so good at teaching beginner and intermediate dancers they focus on the fundamentals and the details and really spend time making sure you're getting the right instruction. They've also built a really strong community here if you're new to dance like I was, I wish I could go back in time and do it sooner! This is the fastest I've ever made friends and found community as an adult.I highly recommend taking their Master Class series I took it having only ever taken a small handful of dance classes prior, and I am shocked at the amount of progress I've made. The environment is supportive and it is also somewhere that really motivates you to keep coming back and to commit to it. It helps that it's the best price of any bachata program I've found in southern California. The one piece of advice I'd give is that if you're a true beginner, you've never danced bachata before, and you're a bit nervous about the idea of starting, one thing that can help is to take a look at their online classes and watch a few to get familiar with the basic step and basic turn so that you feel prepared going into it. They do go at a gradual pace and I've met people in classes where it's their first time ever and they can follow along, but if you're nervous it'll help ease the nerves :
I honestly cannot say enough about how wonderful Nicole and Demetrio are. Not only is their Beginner Master Class so beautifully executed and designed, but it is also done with style, grace, and lots of fun learning humor. They go in depth about the basics of bachata things that aren't taught in other classes and foundation elements that both leads and follows need to know. Rather than quickly learning moves that aren't done properly, they go deep into the basic fundamentals that you need to know to really dance bachata well. But you leave with tons of moves as well! The free classes you get on Sundays and Wednesday when taking the Master Class is reason enough to sign up, but the Master Class itself is unparalleled. As a follow, I so appreciate how Nicole teaches styling and really creates a safe (and elegant! environment for you to practice. Demetrio's musicality classes are a MUST, especially for leads to learn the beats and notes of bachata music.Highly recommend, I love this class, love them, and love the entire experience!
