Probably the best resort hotel I 've visited in the U.S. Like most 5 star resorts, what sets Broadmoor apart is the level of service. Broadmoor seems to have found and hired the happiest, most hospitable people in Colorado. The rooms are beautiful and even more incredible is the housekeeping staff invisible magicians that visit your room multiple times a day to make the bed, fold and stack the clothes you left on the floor, turn down your bed at night, and draw the blackout curtains shut while you were enjoying dinner. Everyone has a smile on their face and is eager to make your experience wonderful. The amazing selection of restaurants means you can leave your keys with the valet and walk to dinner. Our meals were delicious, always tasting like a chef quality culinary invention even something as simple as a Salmon Greek Salad, was above and beyond (good enough that we both had it for lunch two days in a row). Ristorante del Lago was our favorite onsite restaurant, and the bar there was also enjoyable (ask for the complementary bread; it 's worth an extra mile of running). The bartender and wait staff were excellent always attentive and knowledgeable, personable without joining the party. Finally, the beauty of the facilities and the surrounding nature are truly first class, with an excellent fitness center, beautiful art work (felt like an art museum in some areas like the common hallways of the first floor at Broadmoor West), buildings that enhance and fit with the red rock mountains behind them, and of course, the mountains themselves.
