Village Coney - Columbus

Second, the hot dog bun was soggy. I usually enjoy steamed buns, but these were just too wet. The hot dog was cold, possibly because it was right after lunch service, and the chili tasted burnt, like it had been sitting at the bottom of the hot table for too long. Lastly, the choice of French fries was unexpected. They served seasoned rally-style fries, which were tasty but didn’t really match the hot dog. On a positive note, I went back for a third hot dog after the first two because I was still hungry, and it was a much better experience. The staff had improved things, including a fresh pot of sauce that tasted great. I visit that area frequently at various times, so I'll definitely give it another shot. Would I recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood? Yes, it’s worth a visit, and the price is reasonable for what you're getting, especially in Columbus.

During my last visit, I ordered a Cleveland, which is a sausage served with Fry's slaw and BBQ sauce. However, what I received was a hot dog with the same toppings instead. When I inquired about it, the staff simply responded, "We're out of sausage, so we gave you a hot dog instead." It seems they have no qualms about charging $4 for a sausage and substituting it with a beef frank without informing the customer. When I pointed this out, they refused to refund the difference.

The coney special was enjoyable. I personally would like a little more onion, but for my first visit, I would definitely recommend it. The sauce was flavorful, though I could have used a bit more cheese as well. The fries were excellent. A nice surprise was receiving a Little Debbie oatmeal cream pie for dessert, which I've never encountered at a restaurant before. It really reflects the care they put into their service. My own wife doesn't even do that! The meal was slightly pricey—over $12 for three coneys, fries, and a can of soda—but I would go back again.

They have a wide variety of items, more than just Coney dogs!!. Everday specials! And one of best parts they throw in an oatmeal cream pie!! Only negative is that it is kinda small. However, They do have outdoor seating. Well return!

The service was excellent, and I wouldn’t mind the prices if the food quality matched. Unfortunately, the coney sauce was very minimal—about 2 tablespoons of it, and you could only see it if you asked for more.
