Hendrix - Columbia

The high noise level is not a positive aspect for a fine dining restaurant. It may be acceptable if you're looking for a loud bar atmosphere, but the two rarely blend well. The drinks were excellent, but the food and service were only average. I'm unsure when I'll come back.

The most underrated restaurant in Columbia! This restaurant is so consistent from cocktails to dessert!

We visited just as the snow began to fall in Columbia—yes, it was actually snowing! The staff was present and very attentive. This was our first time dining here, but it certainly won't be our last. The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent.

Our server was lovely, checked on us just enough, knew the menu well. Our food on the other hand, lacked flavor and was very fatty. We both got the ribeye and the sauce no flavor our steak was cooked correctly but only tasted charred and like the giant slab of butter put on top. The broccoli and cauliflower that came with was just barely cooked and still had the more earthy taste of raw vegetables but lacked any salt or flavor. I would imagine the peppered based sauce would have been the flavor for this dish but it truly had no flavor to give. Very disappointed and will not return to eat but the atmosphere was nice and inviting so may for drink on the rooftop bar.

We typically order 4-5 small plates to share. There are so many excellent options that it's hard to stick to just one entrée!
