Broadway Diner - Columbia

Yes, there's The Stretch and yes, you ate there a lot, often under the influence, in college. But while they cover their diner bases with top notch pancakes, donuts, burgers and shakes, The Broadway Diner is sneaky good as a legit, adult restaurant too. They probably have the best lineup of sandwiches in town especially the Coop and the Plucky Ducc. The lunch specials will surprise you. They serve local eggs upon request (but at no additional cost). The place, of course, is chock full of personality.

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Not one bad thing on the menu but my favorite like most people is the world famous Stretch! Gordo of course.

The brisket sandwich with mac n cheese was DELICIOUS. The atmosphere is inviting, super cute 50's diner with the sweetest old lady who takes your order. I loved it!!
