Marco's Pizza - Collierville

I recently ordered a pizza without cheese because I have a dairy allergy. Unfortunately, when I got home, I discovered that there was cheese on it. I realize I should have checked the pizza before leaving, but when I called and spoke to Elijah, he informed me that they couldn't deliver the correct pizza to me nor issue a credit over the phone. To get a credit, I would need to return the incorrect pizza, but I live 30 minutes away. Elijah explained that he couldn't send a new pizza because he had already let his drivers go home for the night, and it was only 7:30 PM on Saturday.

I’ve noticed some troubling behavior at this Marcos location that seems to reflect bias against people of color. The young woman who delivered my food appeared quite unhappy. When she handed me the salad, she did so with an expression that suggested she wished I wouldn’t touch her. Then, she placed the pizza bag on a wet ground to retrieve the other items, which was unappetizing. This isn't the first time I've had this driver, and I've observed a subtle disdain in her interactions. It feels like she is not pleased about delivering to Black customers. If you're Black, you might want to reconsider ordering from this Marcos, as there seems to be an underlying issue. Additionally, the pizza was dry, and the cinnamon squares tasted off. Despite this, I still tipped her $8 because I believe in treating everyone with kindness. My community really needs to do better!

The highlight of Marco's Pizza is that I have tried pizzas all over Collierville, and most of them had too much sauce and cheese (even when we chose the regular option), which always left me feeling nauseous afterward. Often, those pizzas only had 2 to 3 toppings per slice. However, at Marco's, the sauce and cheese are light, and there are plenty of toppings. To my surprise, I was able to enjoy a lot of pizza without feeling sick. I even had my ginger tea afterward, and my stomach felt great!

Pizza was delicious! Our food was hot and fresh! Fountain sodas were great crisp and refreshing ???? the starff was very welcoming and courteous ! Greeted us and checked on us during our dining experience.
