I've been going to this place my whole life and it's a shame to see what has happened to it. They've changed their onion loaf to where it's not recognizable anymore. More like large onion rings smushed together. The breading was soggy with grease and overcooked yet the onions were undercooked. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and had little flavor. The ribs tasted like they smothered them in nothing but paprika and they were overcooked. Hush puppies were chewy. The beans were still pretty good. It's the only thing i actually enjoyed. I used to rave about Corky's to everyone, but now I might never go back.
Brisket taste like roast beef, if this is the quality and quantity for 16.99 that is being served at this location, I'll advise either try another location or a better BBQ joint altogether. SAVE YOUR MONEY.
A superb dinning experience. Catfish very soft, little grease, and great cornmeal. I had the slab half wet and half dry rub. Ribs very tender. Excellent sauce. i recommend buying a bottle as gifts for out of Towners. Staff very friendly and personable.
Great rolls as a free appetizer. Ordered the Pig and Paddle with sides. The pulled pork sandwich was good. Nice big pieces in BBQ sauce with slaw and a pickle. It was good. Sides; corn on cob and baked beans. Corn on cob was just that, nothing special. Baked beans. Good not great. I expected more, but were good. The best thing was the ribs. Very good, fall off the bone and i got them muddy which is a mix of wet BBQ sauce with a dry rub. Overall not bad and i would recommend this establishment for your desire for a BBQ meal.
