Good food. The staff super friendly. We had a brilliant evening

First things first, we were really touched that the chef made a special dish for my wife. Spent a lovely night at the hotel’s restaurant, great wine and lovely food. The sardines were fresh and the steak was great and the cheese board was amazing. Also recommended is prawns fritters! Staff is extremely nice. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

We had lunch at Tasca das Tias Camellas , a nice gem in the shades of the University Library in Coimbra. Staff is friendly , English speaking. We had a delicious carpaccio of melone with ruccola , 3 soups and a chorizo grilled on a bed of alcohol . See pictures. We had the good white and red house wine. The clientele is more up market but don t refrain : absolutely recommended

My wife is a vegetarian, and it’s very hard in this country to find a restaurant with more than one or two choices. This happens to be one of the better restaurants that we found. It has a few outdoor seats and very good selection. Tapas in Portugal are not like Spain. The dishes are very filling.

What a wonderful restaurant. You walk through the gateway into a magical garden. You enter the restaurant to be greeted by Joel who is a warm and friendly man who is obviously passionate about this restaurant. The lovely Carolina who is everything you could hope for in a waitress. The food was delicious. I had the veal cheeks which was melt in the mouth perfect. I finished with the cheesecake. Just the right blend of fruit, cheese and biscuit. I can recommend this restaurant 100
