Dona Taska - Coimbra

We had a very nice lunch. The sardines as the salmon where tasty and very well done as the salad served with them. The service pleasant and not intrusive. The price very reasonable and just in front of the bus stop that take you to the university.

Great surprise. I ordered a Bacalhau com Natas and it was very good! I was quite concerned because a couple of days ago I had been to the only restaurant in the city that had a Michelin Bib’s rating and their version of this same dish was horrible (just potatoes, could barely find bacalhau in it and the cream was ok. At the Dona Taska it was completely different, the experience I was looking for the cream was tasty, dish well served and it was bacalhau com natas (not just “potatos com natas). As a desert don’t pass the doce da amiga, their specialty. It’s Perfect!!!

Great chanfana (goat meat stewed in red wine). It was fork tender and flavorful. Served with boiled potatoes, carrots and rapini. All this for €12.50.
