Las Chavelas - COEUR D ALENE

I’m not sure why I took so long to write this review, but this restaurant is fantastic! The service, food, and prices are unbeatable. We absolutely love dining here. The food is incredibly delicious! I would highly recommend it—11 out of 10!

Las Chavelas is a must-try if you're seeking delicious Mexican cuisine in North Idaho. The chips are served hot, and the spicy salsa packs a nice kick—a rare find in the Panhandle. The food is freshly made and generously filled with meat. The birria tacos were accompanied by a side of hot sauce that perfectly complemented the heat, and it was definitely spicier than the salsa served with the chips. Jenna was also an excellent server. I can't wait for my next visit!

This little Mexican restaurant is super sweet inside, the staff was very friendly and knew what they did? the owner also made his rounds to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied. The food was delicious and the proportions were very generous. I have lived in many different states and tried many Mexican restaurants and this tastes in at least the Top 5. The rice has a lot of taste and the beans were perfectly prepared. We ordered the green sauce chicken enchiladas and also red sauce enchiladas. The shredded chicken was amazing! When I eat, I tend to choose at my food to check for color, consistency and make sure that all ingredients look legit and fresh and when I was at the Enchiladas I was very impressed by the chicken that was perfectly shredded and very tasteful. All about great experience and fair prices

This restaurant has been around for many years and has consistently offered delicious food. Las Chavelas is one of the best value spots in town, especially considering the generous portions. You'll also enjoy unlimited chips and salsa. The staff is both helpful and friendly.

They're not playing around. Muy macho Tuesday special with guacamole, chips, and salsa is a great deal and a great way to get stuffed if you like wet burritos.
