This was the first time that we have ever eaten from this restaurant, but we thought we would give it a try on the basis of the reviews that others have provided for a meal and decided. for the purpose of value, we chose the meal for three (even if there are only the two of us) knowing that there would probably be leftovers and we were not wrong. the portions are quite generous, we both had two help and there was enough to put three smaller meal times aside for work dinner. for the entree we chose the ginger beef, huh in black bean sauce and stir fried beef with brokkoli along with their chicken frying and early rolling. The ginger beef is very nice and they use larger pieces meat, not the miniature, strongly broken Madgot size used by many places. these seemed like decent discs, only not as spicy or ingwer as I would have wished. also the black bean sauce was not particularly sharp in the chicken. the broccoli was beautiful al dente. we found the meal a little salty. because he ordered over $40, we got a few fried things I think it was a kind of will. we didn't like it and throw it away. we were in order, but I am not sure that we will be immersed in another meal for a long time from here, as it was not a particularly unforgettable meal for aromen. parking for pick-up is simple and very convenient.
Since we arrived in cochrane more than 10 years ago, peking house is our 'gate to' place for chinese food. no more. on October 26th, I was looking forward to wonton soup and mean man who loves spicy, wanted something ginger beef. he also bought pure rice and vegetables in the oyster sauce. what a disappointment. I'm sick at the wonton soup. no great experience. his ginger beef was tasteless and fryed. we have the wrong court. the vegetables in the oyster sauce was old. some of the brokkoli had begun to become yellow and was muddy. the pieces were so big, you could not get them in the mouth without cutting them. I don't have a word for how unobstructed I am with peking house. I don't know if it's the downturn in the economy, a new cook or what, but eating has gone so far downhill, I know that I don't eat her again for a long, long time.
We discover peking house last year. it is our favorite Chinese takeout in cochrane. good quality and portion size. always ready for time!
I am a regular for this place it's normally the best you will find for Chinese in town but tonight oct 20 was horrible. Normally it's fresh but the ginger beef was like shoe leather. The ginger chicken tasted two days old. Restaurants need to...remember when your deciding to be cheap and reuse unsold food you risk loosing loyal customers we won't be back for a while now.
