Pinto Thong Clovelly

This restaurant may not be fancy, mostly for take-out, but I had a lovely solo dinner sitting outside on the sidewalk. The chicken penang was absolutely amazing - slightly spicy, incredibly flavorful, tender chicken, plenty of sauce, and perfectly steamed broccoli. Every bite with rice was a delightful experience. Don't hesitate, just order it. It's that good.

We often ring for their home delivery service and have never been disappointed with either the food or their service.They have a good choice of options and some lovely dishes that we have not eaten in other Thai restaurants, eg: Pra Ram Long Song (vegetables with peanut sauce) and the Chef's special of fish in Thai herbs (red curry paste, peppercorn, lemongrass, mixed vegetables and fresh basil).The food arrives fresh, hot and tasty. Highly recommended.

Love this place, family run and boy have they improved over time. Typical Thai menu with all the favourites. I can never go past the chilli basil chicken stir fry and the vermicelli chicken larb salad, or just the chicken on its own. Never fails to create a party in my mouth.

Always order from pinto when I'm in the area. There is so much average Thai these days- pinto is above the rest. Authentic and full of flavour.

Having lived in Darlinghurst for 15 years we were spoilt by really decent thai food for a really reasonable cost. Having moved our local is now Pinto Thong. The family who run it are gorgeous and there is always free fruit on offer whilst you wait which is such a lovely touch. I do however believe that the cost is a little high for what you get and the quantity in the takeaway dishes is on the low side. I also believe there is a little too much sugar added to the dishes, everything has an overwhelming sweetness to it. They just need to tweak it. I use S.Thada Thai as my benchmark (Victoria St, Darlinghurst) and I'm going to have to travel to get my takeout!
