The Chef's House - Cleveland

Only Burger. Love everything from here, but my Fave is the old Skool Burger. Chef knows exactly how I like cooked and it's great! Don't eat a burger from somewhere else! Also like turkey on wheat toast hot or cold its delicious! Can't say enough about how good the food is, the courteous staff and how clean the place is! EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT...

It was great. My husband and I are visiting Cleveland to see family when we visit the bosshouse in town. We were on 28. May there, both had the special on this day Lasagne. It was good, not much cheese or sauce. The salad that came with him was very good. The service was great, Mrs. Anderson came to our table to check us, our server was very attentive.. The restaurant itself was very clean and family friendly.. We've been in the kitchen house the last two times we've come to town. I plan to come back at our return visit. You think it better...

Surprisingly good!. A friend and I decided to visit the Chef 's House for the Monday Cajun Day Lunch Special on 8/20/12. The special thing this day was something called Shrimp Stew and garlic bread with a side salad and side dish made of yellow squash and onions. We really like shrimps prepared a number of possibilities, but had never heard of a shrimp stone and were a little skeptical as it would taste, but decided to try it anyway, since everything else we have ever ordered in the kitchen was so delicious. Wow! I'm here to tell you that Shrimp Stew served over rice was absolutely wonderful! The shrimps were medium to large with a tomato stew base full of peppers, onions and other delicious herbs with just enough to satisfy the taste buds. The yellow squash and onion side dish literally melted in the mouth! The side salad was a delight with fresh salad, carrots, cabbage and tomato wedges, especially when I made the cook Thousand Island Dressing, which I had asked to be served on the side. The fresh garlic bread was just right to make sure that I could get every drop of this wonderful stew! I really enjoy a good dessert, but my hunger was satisfied after eating this fantastic lunch special. The Dessert case made me aware anyway. Mama's dessert offerings this day included a strawberry Custard cake, beautiful apple cake, double chocolate cheesecake and hummingbird cake in addition to some cookies and fruit peels. One of my hobbies feeds and observes hummingbirds on the back porch, but I had never heard of a hummingbird cake. It looked safe as if it were delicious and a taste sample was made available by owner Amelia Anderson. That's it, I was dressed! Although I was not hungry at the moment, I knew that cake would make a really tasty afternoon with my hot tea or coffee and left the restaurant with a draw-out container of hummingbird cake to enjoy on the back porch while watching the hummingbirds this afternoon. Yep, this Hummingbird cake surely tasted good with a cup of coffee on the porch in the afternoon!

The food was fresh and delicious. We watched the chef grab a fresh jalepeno to add to the hash I ordered. I went with my 2yr old daughter and 11 yr old son. I ordered pancakes for my daughter and the waitress had asked him to make a Minnie Mouse shaped one to match my daughters shirt. It was wonderful and above and beyond. My son ordered eggs, bacon and grits. He loved them all. I ordered the hash and it was great. Tasted very fresh. It took awhile to get the food, but I told my son they made everything from scratch so that was to be expected. The place was very clean. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but overall a great experience. I will be back many times.

I had a car accident. The police had us move cars to their parking area. While i waited for a tow truck the waitress brought me a coke and a cookie. It was so kind if her to go out of her way. I have eaten lunch there before and it was excellent with large portions and excellent pricing.
