There are about 15 bar/restaurants within the boundaries of Tremont. The service and experience at Bar Oni was greater than anything I’ve come close to having at any of the others. The food, drinks, and service from Flossie were incomparable and I cannot recommend it enough. Can’t wait to go back for more.
Went here for the first time the another based on a recommendation. Ambience was ok, drinks were meh, food was pretty good. The bartender/server ruined the whole experience though. She was incredibly rude you could easily tell her distaste annoyance when we asked about the menu (this was our first time here). This morning my fiancé opened up his Instagram to find a message asking about our experience…when he replied stating exactly what i did above he was left on read with no response. If you have that much time in your day to find a customers Instagram message them asking about their experience to NEVER reply back you have wayyyy too much free time on your hands. This whole experience put such a sour taste in our mouths we’ll never be back. Now looking at other reviews where they all mention the rudeness of the bartender/server you know it’s the businesses issue not the patrons. Please refrain from stalking customers on social media as well please!!!Edited to reflect their response: still confused on why you didn’t address why you guys stalked a customer to ask about their experience only to never message back? Listen, we enjoyed the food would love to come back but the bartenders awful attitude ruined the whole night. Use this as a learning experience to be better instead of blaming the customer.
Favorite spot to eat and drink in the neighborhood! Excellent small plates and homemade seltzer. Don’t sleep on the Pork Katsu sandwich! Staff is 100, vibe is on point!
Look, this place from the out seemed very inviting from the outside, but I’ll never know because they don’t let people under 21 in. My son and I were looking forward to a warm bowl of ramen on a brisk day. No chance because of a ridiculous policy.
