Balaton - Cleveland

Balaton, I miss you! My mother and I often enjoyed lunch or dinner at your restaurant, and the food was always incredible. As a German, my mother loved the cabbage rolls and schnitzel—they reminded her of home. The Hungarian dishes were always to die for. The friendly service made us feel like part of the family. Unfortunately, I now live 45 minutes away from Cleveland, and takeout just isn't a practical option. I'm thrilled to see that you've signed a new lease and am eagerly waiting for the chance to share a meal with my mom there again soon. <3

I absolutely love this place! The food is authentic and tastes amazing. Our waitress was extremely kind and attentive too. I definitely recommend this place if you?re curious about trying Hungarian food or just wanna connect to your roots!

We had a party of eight, including two ethnic Hungarians, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The chicken paprikas was outstanding, and the langos was incredible! If you're new to Hungarian cuisine, I highly recommend starting with the Hungarian platter and the langos. Be sure to make reservations at least 48 hours in advance, as all the food is cooked to order.

Delicious! My husband really enjoyed the Schnitzel! The attached picture shows the crispy chicken, which was good but a bit on the greasy side. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful!

Wow, this restaurant was amazing! I was really looking forward to trying Balaton after a recommendation from one of my classmates, who absolutely raves about it (and for good reason).
