Ocean Galley Seafood Steaks - Claxton

We were thrilled to discover Blackbeard's Seafood during our visit to Claxton for a doctor's appointment! Formerly known as Sea Galley, this gem offers an outstanding dining experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and served by a charming and attentive young man named Adam, who made us feel right at home. The menu was a delightful surprise, featuring a wide variety of appetizers, sides, seafood, and steak—each priced surprisingly affordably for such an extensive selection. We kicked off our meal with gator tail and calamari, so good that we couldn't resist ordering another portion of calamari. Both appetizers were generously portioned, lightly battered, and perfectly fried. For my main course, I chose the scallops, which came with a selection from the extensive early bird menu (available until 6 PM) and included hushpuppies, a drink, and dessert. The scallops were delicious and cooked perfectly, and the portion size was quite generous. My husband opted for the 8-ounce ribeye, which was also cooked to perfection. We're so happy we stumbled upon this place and plan to return to Claxton more often just to dine here. A big thank you to our server Adam, and to the management and staff for turning our dreary day into a delightful dining experience. Now that we're back home, with full bellies, we're already looking forward to our next visit and what we’ll order. Thank you, Blackbeard's team!

I'm visiting from North Carolina and travel frequently, but every experience at Ocean Galley has been fantastic! The service is excellent and very friendly. The food is delicious and reasonably priced as well. I highly recommend it!
