The Westgrove - Clane

Just went to see queen tribute band other night room was set out well, band were excellent and staff nice, will be back.

This was our second visit to Westgrove. The location is very convenient for short commutes to places like The Japanese Gardens, The National Stud and Kildare Village. The reception area is big and very tidy. We were welcomed at reception by a very pleasant receptionist who made us feel welcome. Our room was on floor three which seemed a long way away as the hotel has a big footprint. The room was large, clean and comfortable. We booked dinner in the bar-restaurant with our friends who also came along. However, although it was quiet in the restaurant, it seemed a bit disorganized and tables had to be rearranged to accommodate our group of seven. Our server was young and a bit jittery. Not a fully trained waitress. Nonetheless, pleasant. Our food was excellent and very good value. We used the swimming pool with our children. It is indeed a lovely pool, and really warm. We loved it. Breakfast in the morning was typical hotel full Irish, served from a hatch counter. There were some cereals and a few pastries also available. The only thing that it party didn't like were the fruit juices which tasted cheap and industrial. Overall, this is a great venue with an abundance to offer. We plan to go back again.

Had lunch in Westgrove yesterday with my granddaughter and her friend. Food was delicious. Nina very helpful and pleasant in serving us. Lovely and warm in there. Prices reasonable.

Breakfast was very poor for €205 euro a night needs to be better
