It's a cute local business in Schenectady. My first time there, I placed my order to go and had to wait about 10 minutes. The place was very busy during lunch time. Now, I call my order in ahead of time and it's ready when I arrive. I've only had their café salad with roasted chicken. It's a healthy, delicious and very filling meal. Their staff is always friendly both on the phone and in person. Highly recommend them.
The sandwiches here are fresh, clean, and phenomenal. I've had about everything on the menu here, and my food has very consistently looked like the kind of sandwich you take a picture of to use as an advertisement. Everyone is incredibly nice, and it seems to have nurtured an incredibly kind and accepting community which provides a pervading since of warmth from employees to patrons.
This place had a really chill vibe. The white tables and blue metal chairs are somewhat cold by themselves, but the old brick wall, the mellow jazz, and the friendly, helpful staff made for a warm and relaxing environment. Food was simple yet really well made. Service was faster than expected, although our order of soup, salad and a breakfast sandwich was nothing complicated. The carrot-ginger soup was excellent, with a nice ginger kick to it. Baked goods looked awesome, although we didn't partake. Coffee was from Chris's, a high-volume local roaster, and was fresh and good. They seem to promote themselves as all natural, and it looks like they live up to the promise. All in all, we had a great experience. Definitely worth the extra block or two to check out Puzzles for yourself.
We ordered cupcakes and cookies for my son's first communion, and they were absolutely amazing. Family members who have tried cupcakes from many other local places couldn't stop praising these. All four flavors they offer are fantastic, and my personal favorite was the chocolate peanut butter flavor. The cookies, too, were among the best I've ever tasted—perfect texture and delightful flavor. Truly perfection! The staff was a pleasure to work with as well. I highly recommend Puzzles Bakery. Next, I’m eager to try their lunches, which I've heard great things about!
