Malecon No. 2 - City of New York

I've been patronizing this location of El Malecon for over 25 years now. One of the best Dominican, Latin/ Caribbean Cuisine Restaurants on the Upper West Side. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the hospitality is always warm and welcoming. Order the Rotisserre Chicken and thank me later. Even in this economy, it's still one of the best places for an affordable and enjoyable meal be it Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Enjoy!

Very cool neighborhood restaurant. Big portions, reasonable price, Were very busy when we got in and things started out slow but the food was worth the wait.

Excellent latin food and fast service! Everything is delicious!! Have been eating at this restaurant for 30 years and I can say the good has gotten better! Highly recommend!!

The wait staff is slow because there isn’t enough of them. Sometimes you can get one with an attitude but you chuck it off. The take out service moves faster when you know what you want to order. You can’t be indecisive in this place or you will wait longer for service. The food is really good. I have received burnt fried green plantains before (that was disappointing)cooked too long.

Amazing Food and service. One of the best spots in the neighborhood.
