Excellent beer selection! And very friendly bartenders, who let you taste before getting a pint. And the food is really tasty I've tried a couple grilled cheese style toast sandwiches. The only negatives I can think of.. sometimes gets kinda loud, and the taps can be IPA heavy (but that's not really a negative)Food: 4/5

I checked out Covenhoven with some friends on a Friday afternoon/evening while visiting Brooklyn. This is a happening little spot with a wide selection of beers on tap and in a large refrigerator for purchase. So many options to choose from and I enjoyed looking through the fridge section for the wild and quirky beers I've never heard of before. It was fun sitting out on their outdoor courtyard. There's some basic pub fare food as well if you get hungry. I would definitely stop back in again.

My favorite bar hands down. Knowlegable and extremely friendly staff. No pretension here, my friends, because they are passionate about turning you on to the beer or food that is going to make your day. The best grilled cheese in the world......especially the fig arugula. Covenhoven just has such a feel-good atmosphere to it.

This looks to be a great neighborhood tap room. We just popped in for a mid-afternoon brew on a nice spring day. There are about 15 or 16 interesting beers and ciders on tap with more options in the large cooler. We enjoyed the pleasant back garden but it appeared to us that, on most evenings, the main action probably takes place in the large front room. (There is also a bar food menu which we failed to examine.)If we had not known exactly where we were going, we would have easily overlooked the place as the Covenhoven signage is pretty subtle.

Great bar and kitchen! I loved the back patio and personally, the cider selection was great. My fave was the blueberry peach cobbler cider!
