Al's Delicatessen - City of New York

Tried to grab a bagel around the corner at two places and the lines were soooo long and at least one was $7.95 for a bagel and cream cheese. Skip that! Go around the corner here to Al's where I got one under $4 and it was delicious. Didn't love my espresso, but whatever. Nothing fancy here but yummy and the price was right.

I've had a few breakfast sandwiches from here before. Today I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it was NOT what New York is about!! So little cream cheese and the bagel wasn't fresh for $5 this is a rip off!! The service is fast and they are quick to take care of the morning rush but for the price of the bagels they should be a better quality!Go down the block where there are a couple of other bagel spots that have fresh and authentic bagels from NYC

I've been working in the area for 20+ years and this is my GO TO place. Breakfast, coffee, fresh salads, hot foods, burgers, sandwiches, and more. It's worth the 5+ minute wait on line to pay for tasty food and pleasant service!

Had a terrific gyro from this place. You know it's good when you see locals eating there. There is a good variety of hot and cold foods. It's quick and reasonably priced.
