Laurel - City of Long Beach

If you love a great diner with diner food, you will love the Laurel. Diner classic menu points and a friendly atmosphere. For breakfast try the multi-corners pancakes or waffles. Your burgers are great. I love her patty melt.

This is a place where you want a decent little meal. The good thing is that they are opened somewhat later than most neighborhood restaurants and most of the time the service is good, not always, but most of the time. (We eat there a lot because we like to eat too late. The food is okay, not spectacular, but good. It is a NY Greek diner, so it has an extensive menu and they try to offer interesting dishes. Some of the foods are too salty for me, but you can not request salt or spices, so this is an individual thing. The prices are a little high. In LB there is another diner and their prices are also high. Prices seem to be high everywhere, but there is an excellent Asian restaurant nearby (for comparison and their prices are not high, so I cannot understand why they charge so much for an omelet or another basic diner dish. But I recommend it if you want a basic diner meal and don't wait for them to be busy.

We enjoyed our stop at Laurel Diner for breakfast. Fast, pleasant and attentive service in a classic diner set. I had a grilled maize muffin, old-fashioned houseries, bacon and hot chocolate. Just a few minutes from the entrance to the seat to order hot food on the table. Excellent.

The service was mediocre. The ambience fair. The toilets are clean. Eating, okay, but not writing home. Beautiful semi-diverse amount. Ability to eat outside / walking distance.

It was a beast breakfast for last 5 years. Super friendly atmosphere. Almost feels like in 80's movies. Great friendly staff, super big menu selections. It is American classic. I am ordered breakfast poutin.... and as my taste it was one of the best poutin outside of Canada. Crispy, golden French fry with layers of cheese and topped eggs... it is taste like a heaven. Huge portion enough for two or for real French fry lover. Absolutely fantastic. Very recommend.
