Brixx Barley - City of Long Beach

One of our go to's as a family. Food is very good and consistent. I really enjoy the pizza and the wings which are both done in their brick oven. I get the wings often, definitely my favorite thing there. Classy enough place with really good food. Kid-friendliness: Our little girl likes the place. Kids options are good.

We had a party of 16 so my comments can be wrong. The best part of the dinner were the appetizers. The meatball sliders were excellent. Large portion could have served as an entire meal. The roll was real, not a soggy hamburger bun and the cheese and sauce was perfect. The calamari plate was also very big, the calamari were not oily and were crisp. The baked chicken wings were tasty and large with the portion enough to serve as an entire meal. I didn't try the sauce because the wings were good enough but when I tried to get some, the large portion was gone, eaten by the other guests. My only complaint about the appetizers came from the tuna which tasted a little fishy although the dish otherwise was fresh. For my entree, I chose the steakhouse burger which was a combination of four cuts of beef, covered with cheese, fried onions and a Chipotle sauce. I ordered it medium rare and came medium but it was tasty nevertheless. The fish tacos came in a tray with 2 surprisingly small tacos. The fish was well prepared with fresh veggies but the sauce had no flavor. The chicken with burratta and a red sauce was perfect as was the short ribs. The fried chicken sandwich was just good. The popcorn chicken taco was tasty as was the short rib one. We were very happy without dessert but tried the tirimissou which did not disappoint. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food

Pleasant outdoor area very loud inside at peak times. Food was good, for example burgers US style or pizza with lots (too much) rocket. ? Service friendly, attentive, cheerful, fast. Recommended!

My wife were visiting in the area and came across this restaurant for lunch. I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Great brewery bar atmosphere could use some more beers but overall great spot for american fare
