Wellington's - City of Albany

Excellent food and service. Filet was delicious as was the steak special with espresso bean coating. Love that host seats you with a glass of water. All staff were attentive and excellent. Will return.

Recently had pre-show dinner at Wellington's and staff was very helpful to get us out in what was only an hour and 15 minute dining window. Food and drinks both good but had the roast chicken for first time and thought it was perfect simple Sunday type dinner and well spiced (chicken can be plain in many dishes)

We have been to Wellington multiple times and never had a bad experience. Yesterday was a different story poor Jordan who was very friendly was overwhelmed because the room was full and she was the only waitress and she was also the hostess so we understand why she was so busy. Our appetizer was overly salty the fried artichoke hearts the meals came out at four separate times my plate of $42 sirloin steak was cold when I complained she took it back and brought it back lukewarm I couldn't even eat it they did take it off the bill though. The food was still salty. my daughter got the pulled pork sandwich ask for barbecue sauce which came 20 minutes later. My wife's meal was good she got the sirloin with lobster risotto my son ate his hamburger it seems like mine was the only real issue the service was slow but understandable as one person with a full room has a lot to do. Again that was my first bad experience at Wellington's not quite enough to cross it off the list but enough to make me think twice about returning. If the food and service are going to be like it was yesterday I would not recommend it to anyone but on prior experience and past visits I would certainly recommend it I don't know if yesterday was just a bad day for the kitchen or if that's their new normal.

When a chef has to use excessive amounts of salt for flavor thats not good. The salmon was overcooked, the truffle mashed potatoes were too salty. However, the lamb ragu, brussel sprout appetizer and spinach beet and berry salad were delicious! The waitress was amazing considering she was the only one waiting on all the tables.

The food was undercooked; service was poor not because the staff didn't try but because they were understaffed to deal with full tables throughout the restaurant. The arms of the chairs were worn through and the floors were filthy. This restaurant had positive reviews and that's why we came but there are too many other restaurants from which to choose. We won't go back.
