The tables are small, but the greenery and overall ambiance of the place make it a cool spot to dine. Take a break and enjoy the atmosphere for a few minutes during your day.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant and now I remember why I hadn't been back before. I ordered a steak sandwich and was very disappointed. The meat, if you could even call it that, was diced and of the poorest quality. It was more like mush than meat, with huge jalapeños that overwhelmed half the sandwich and caused the bread to fall apart. The overall experience was unpleasant and I will definitely not be returning.
Don't miss out on trying the hot chocolates at this restaurant! They are made with real chocolate, not powdered mix, and they taste incredible. The employees are extremely cheerful and welcoming. Additionally, be sure to try their chocolate chip cookies, which melt in your mouth.
It is the inconsistency of everything that I hate about this place the inconsistent quality of food, service quality, presentation, coffee, and even the taste.
During a recent stay in Canberra we had breakfast several times at this Café which is located behind the Uniting Church on Northbourne. This is a busy little café and is well used by the many office staff from around the area which is always...a great sign. Service is friendly, efficient and courteous and the food was very acceptable. Coffee was great. Thank you.
