I’ve become something of a focaccia pomodoro connoisseur since it’s one of few things I can eat, being plant-based. I’ve walked to Almond from Cisternino weekdays at least three times since I’ve been in Puglia because they have THE best focaccia. I wanted to spend my last weekend in Puglia enjoying their focaccia one last time so I went in on a Sunday not my usual time . Unfortunately my last experience was not my best because, while service was great as always, the staff microwaved ? the focaccia, which left it soggy and limp. Every other time I’ve come it’s had this delightfully crispy bottom and seemed very fresh. I hope the owners see this and prevent it from happening to anyone else. If that were my first visit, I would not have come back.
Lovely cafe and garden in the countryside outside of Cisternino amidst the olive groves. Locally made pastries, including excellent pasticcotto and cannoli plus great coffee.
One of my favorite places in the heart of the valley of Italy. from spring to autumn it is only a pleasure to sit immersed in the green, sipping good almond milk, a slice of cake or making aperitif in company back from the sea. the location is beautiful, you can breathe fresh air, away from the frenzy of the city. great way to detach the plug
Top regarding food. very slow service, we arrived at and started to eat something at the do not give the stars only for this reason, I will definitely return to it and if you are speeded I will add the missing star to add the fifth star. You can see that the first time I went was the wrong night. the sweets were brought (and appreciated) up to Trieste
