Buffet House - Chula Vista

HomeTown Buffet is my favorite restaurant, and I was thrilled to discover that there's one in Chula Vista. I had Thanksgiving dinner there, and it was fantastic, just like always.

The food was excellent and there were a variety of options to choose from. However, it lacked a few staple items that I expected to be on the menu. Overall, I had a good experience and I will definitely return. P.S. The restaurant could benefit from more promotion and possibly some coupons to attract customers, as it is somewhat tucked away.

I finally found a HomeTown that is enjoyable and not run down. I had a great dinner with my wife and our little girl, Alma Sandy Lilie.

I had watched the new commercials on television regarding the changes at the Home Town Buffet. I never cared for the place so didn't give it much thought. Then a friend highly recommended trying it again because it had really changed. So, my lady and I went on Father's Day to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, the help was very polite, the manager was very nice, everyone was courteous and helpful. The food was displayed nicely and tasted very good. They cooked the steak the way you wanted it, fruit was in individual dishes and everything had a great flavor. We have since been back 3 times and every time the same thing. I have told all my friends about how good the food is, how nice we were treated and everything has been improved since I was here a year ago. I will return. I am very happy with the service, the food and the Home Town Buffet.

Menu for breakfast is wide enough and good flavor. Place is clean. Only one suggestion: since there is no a waitress taking away the plates you're done, then try to serve small portions to try before having a big portion, and try to reuse your plates, that way you don't have many plates seated on your table with much left overs.
