The Dirty Land - Christchurch

I absolutely loved the ambiance of the restaurant. I went for a birthday party in a reserved room, and everything was well-maintained, with fantastic staff. The only downside was the $16 price for a glass of Pinot Noir, but other than that, everything was great!

We decided to enjoy a few rounds while seated in the covered outdoor area by a cozy fire pit. The ambiance feels upscale yet reasonably priced. The dim, moody interior adds to the alluring and ethereal vibe of the bar. It’s not very large, accommodating around 85 guests at most, which enhances its exclusive feel. The Dirty Land is the ideal spot for after-work drinks, making a good impression on clients, or sharing a fancy cocktail with friends. Just a heads up, a collared shirt and dress shoes are practically essential; I felt quite out of place in my t-shirt and jeans. While the bar doesn’t offer full-sized mains (yet), their small bites come from the kitchen at Mexicano's. Be sure to try the Fried Chicken on your next visit—it’s absolutely delicious!

I came here after reading about their fantastic cocktails, and I was not disappointed! I tried about four or five of their unique creations and adaptations, all of which I really enjoyed. I also met some incredibly fun locals who were very welcoming and even invited me to join them, instead of apologizing for their lively behavior. In addition to cocktails and spirits, they offer a selection of beers and wines, and you can also order delicious Mexican food from the restaurant next door. Overall, it was a great experience!

This is a fantastic bar specialising in cocktails, no beer on tap but a good selection in the fridge. Friendly staff, good service and attention to detail everywhere. They share a kitchen with the Mexican next door and the beef skewers with chimichurri and hot sauce were excellent. Quirky art after which the bar is named.

Great place to grab a cocktail. Has a big outdoor fire to keep you warm. Delicious food which is from their sister restaurant, Mexicanos. I had a pomegranate martini that was delicious and not too strong. It went down a treat. The one thing you have to try when you're there are the potato skins and cheese sauce. So delicious.
