Despite 9 o'clock, the owner's wife gave me a warm greeting and showed...I have a wide menu on a chalkboard that changes every day. all fresh and cooked in the house. the calamari with mushroom starter was super, never tasted anything like it, steak tart and chips extremely good. also dessert. as it was later in the evening, as I asked, the service was fast and friendly, and there was no pressure for me to finish quickly. many thanks to the gattenteam in bistro, I will ask the ibis budget hotel to put them on their lists, perhaps instead of the parvis. it is good to have family service anyway!
I came here with my family, and we all agreed that eating was amazing. both my man and my father said that steak was the best they ever had. my mother l and I had chicken and mushroom risotto, which was also beautiful. for children with half portions (the burger was grown tall) and my son loved it (he can be quite fussy.) the wein (anjou village) was beautiful. we had desserts like caramel and apple crumbs, nougat ice cream and profiterole and were all wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.
We tried this restaraunt with a recomendation of hotel staff. the menu is very limited and is written on a table that is rolled from table to table. the owner was very attentive. the food was averaged in comparison to the other institutions we visited over...our five overnight stays
This is a small restaurant in the centre of downtown with a great ambiance, including an eclectic mix of art on the walls, and menu with "something for everyone" (sea bass, rabbit, beef and veal dishes were on the menu for the mains the evening we went.) We enjoyed the escargot (no garlic, but interesting spice and butter) and charcuterie starters; we both had angus beef burgers with blue cheese (we asked for "bien cuit"/well done; they were wonderfully tender and tasty.) Only regret: no room for dessert. The restaurant was full by 8:00 p.m: we were there at 7:00 and got a table so for later times a reservation would be a good idea.
